JEWELLERY

Laser cut rubber jewellery inspired by geometric patterns in architecture and nature.

We create three-dimensional drawings that become body adornment.

Visual patterns that cross our path every day are captured with photography, translated into paper cuts and eventually digital drawings that form the basis for the laser cut process.

The rubber we use is an industrial roofing rubber (EPDM) which is an unusual material for jewellery design but is very comfortable and light to wear. The strong and flexible rubber is transformed into intricate pieces of adornment that feel like a second skin to your clothing.

Interior Design

The room illustrator is a hanging installation made out of thin, durable and flexible roofing rubber. The pieces are laser cut and/or hand cut.

Inspired by patterns in the city and it’s labyrinth architecture and other striking elements in graphic landscapes. The cut out rubber pieces become three-dimensional illustrations.

Black Lune is mainly specialised in rubber laser cut jewellery but will now be taking a second route into creating adornment (illustrators) for interior spaces.

The Room illustrators were launched at at Milan Design Week 2015 with Ventura Lambrate.
